Mental Health First Aid Australia Awards

The Annual Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia Awards were launched in 2012 to showcase the achievements of individuals, communities, organisations and education providers who have worked to improve mental health literacy through their support of MHFA courses, which began in 2001. The Awards acknowledge the high standard and commitment demonstrated by those involved in delivering MHFA 12-14 hour courses across Australia.

MHFA Award categories

MHFA Instructor Champion - an individual effort in any of the MHFA Courses (Standard, Youth, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and/or Vietnamese).

MHFA Community – a community wide effort by an organisation or group of organisations to increase mental health literacy by conducting MHFA courses.

MHFA Workplace - a workplace wide effort by an organisation to increase mental health literacy of employees by conducting MHFA courses.

MHFA Education Provider – a whole of university/institution approach to increasing mental health literacy by conducting MHFA courses to staff and students.

MHFA Australia Awards 2013

Applications opened Tuesday February 26th 2013, and will close on Friday 16th August 2013.

This year, the MHFA Australia Awards will be presented on Monday 14th October 2013 at a ceremony held during the 8th Annual MHFA Instructor Conference at CQ Functions in Melbourne’s CBD (14-15 October).
