The 12-hour MHFA course teaches adults how to provide initial support to people who are developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis.

What the course covers
Ongoing mental illnesses such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorder
- Gradual onset psychosis
- Substance misuse
Mental health crisis situations such as:
- Suicidal behaviour/thoughts
- Panic attack/Acute stress reaction
- Acute psychotic behaviour

How to Arrange a Course
Contact any of the MHFA instructors listed on the Instructor page. Most instructors are willing to travel but need expenses covered.
Location of Courses
Courses are conducted all throughout Australia and can be conducted wherever an instructor is willing to travel!
Cost
Fees are set by each individual instructor. Your local instructor can inform you of their fees or these may be listed for advertised courses.
