Supporting Australian Jewish communities with free Mental Health First Aid training

In the wake of the Bondi tragedy, many people across Australia are experiencing distress, with particular impacts felt within Jewish communities. It is common after traumatic events to notice fear, anxiety, heightened alertness or hyper-vigilance, or ongoing distress.

Mental Health First Aid International is offering Standard and Youth MHFA training places, free of charge, to support Jewish communities in Australia throughout 2026.

INTERVENE EARLY

Recognise the warning signs of mental health problems in young people.

OFFER SUPPORT

Learn the skills to have an open, supportive conversation about mental health.

RESPOND IN A CRISIS

Respond across a range of crisis situations where a young person may be at risk of harm.

REDUCE STIGMA

Reduce stigma and increase support for young people experiencing and living with mental health problems.

Explore courses and register for the date and format that works best for you. If none of the listed dates or delivery options suit, we will keep you updated as new workshops are scheduled.

To help us reach as many people as possible, Mental Health First Aid will not be providing catering at in-person training unless indicated. This allows us to direct more resources toward delivering free training to support to the Jewish communities.

For safety, workshop locations are listed by suburb only, with exact venues to be shared with registrants closer to the course date.

If you have questions or would like to support this initiative through venue hire, catering or other contributions, please contact ajc@mhfa.com.au.
